Scaramouche - Galop Brillant - was written in 1893 by Franz Behr under one of his composing pseudonym's, Charles Godard. It was originally a lively piano duet, but has been arranged here as a great fun and challenging piece for Clarinet Quartet, which makes a great concert opener or encore piece. The work is also available in an arrangement for Wind Quintet which has been played hundreds of times as an encore and has been enjoyed by players and audiences alike.
